"The Sperrit" is a study of a Bahamian street festival and masquerade called Junkanoo, and follows the team "One Family" as they detail their history and the history of the festival, while dealing with internal struggles and rival squads. The film also touches on the problems Bahamian society faces, and how Junkanoo may be inadvertently contributing to them
