Honea Path Remembers is a short film that recounts how Frank Beacham found out about his grandfather's role in the murder of striking textile workers in his hometown of Honea Path, SC in 1934. He traces his epiphany back to The Uprising of '34 (excerpted in this short) which was broadcast nationally on PBS/POV in 1995. At the time SC-ETV and Charlotte PTV in NC were the only public television stations not to run the film. Co-directed by George Stoney and Judith Helfand, Home Video/Educational Sales of The Uprising of '34 is distributed by Documentary Educational Resources.
