Havana Parker-Smith, "Your Dog On The Beach" hostess takes us to the Ramah State Wild Life Sanctuary in Ramah, Colorado. As you can see, there was water in this natural spring that been running for over 1,000 years. The old Missouri Pacific spur Line from Limon to Colorado Springs did once run less than 200 meters away. As Havana examines the area, she asks, "Water? What Water?" This lake was active and full of fish and wildlife less then five years ago. As the water table here in the eastern plains has began to drop, there are about 100 small lakes here in Colorado are disappearing each year. As water remains the issue and the constant fight for survival in the farmers fields and in the court rooms of the United States Supreme Court, this small lake is just a reminder how fragile our environment really is.
