Warming up playing mini tennis is great for developing feel and working on stroke technique. The use of soft balls enables the athlete to hit through the ball with less weight so they can transfer racquet practice swings to live ball swings without the weight of a standard tennis ball. All strokes can be practiced in mini tennis. Forehands, backhands, serves, overheads (forehand & backhand) half volleys or even swinging volleys. Most people find the serve the most difficult, but that's the beauty of it. If you find it difficult to serve in the mini court, then you accomplish the ability to do so, you're improving your "feel" for the serve, benefiting you from the full court.
