It's all more or less Greek to me....or Geek to me.
I had this show last night. Here's the collab clip you see in the video:

I shot myself talking afterwards... or after words and I used some of Jakob Lodwick's video in this and then he was up talking to himself at about the same time I was talking to myself...

flukes is the fins of a white whale....

Oh and the crap on my fingers is this blue goo I used to hang some drawings in the hall.

lol well first I see 57 plays here not 700+ but that really doesn’t mean anything- to me. This dialogue between the self is really the creme of the crop of the video but it also made me finally realize who the heck you remind of- haven’t been able to place my finger on it till now.
Someone commented in one of your videos that you are a bit like Robert Breer, I really don’t see that- not really I think you are actually along the lines of filmmaker Alan Berliner who is post Breer. Do you know him? Why do I say that? Well all his films are self indulgent – they are all about him and aspects of his life - he stars in most of them. He also often uses shots from other films in his films as point of reference. He is always using himself and his predicament or situation to get to the heart of the matter of some observation that relates to our social structure or what not. Your style is very different of course BUT what is reminiscent of his work is your editing style - somewhat like his. Anyhoo- this is a compliment if anything, he is one of the best editors I think, NY has to offer, and a darn good filmmaker. He is also an installation artist so check him out if u ever see the name.
I'm thinking about kicking off the next monkeytown screening with this video.
I kind like this all to myself though- there is not much in life that is "undiscovered" or "unknown" - it's like our own little party- you & me & wreck/ salvage
Because some of the footage was shot by Jakob Lodwick and so it probably showed up on his page... or such.
I think a lot of times the work might be too convoluted to even attempt to say anything interesting about it. Sometimes I think the best way to reply to a video is by making a video, but then the conversation takes on a whole different time element, which this whole experimental online multiple-media communications relationship has anyway. These little bits of digital detritus (work/play) begin their lives and find their places. This was posted nearly 2 months ago.
I've had this idea of chopping up different dialogues from different sources, creating a whole new conversation from different films, but finding the right ones (without background music and such) have been difficult.
