Asian Elephant Kulab gave birth to a male calf at 10.30 am today. He is the first-ever male calf to be born at Melbourne Zoo.
He weighs 142.2kg which is very heavy for a new born elephant. He is built very much like his father (Bong Su), with long legs and a broad head. Everyone at Melbourne Zoo is very excited by this new addition to the family.
