a small excerpt from my video installation "In Bed with", created in 2004 and exhibited at the Lakeside Gallery Birmingham.
I asked random people around the custard factory to lay down on a bed and explain with whom they would like to be in bed with and why.
I filmed them from above, the video then was projected onto several beds inside the gallery space, using beamers, which are pointed from the ceiling down to the beds. the audio was played through small speakers hidden in the pillows. the visitors were invited to lay down besides the virtual bedmates and listen to them.

I don't like violent so I don't mix with it. I stay away until it really come my way and I have to deal with it. I don't like lies, so I don't near get there or mix with them. I don't like anything that make me unhappy and I just don't mix with it. I stay away to respect me from extra cause it may bring to disturb my peace. Meanwhile all this I don't like can practice to find their best way out in this life. People have to experience throughly about things in life, before they call quit.
Interview on a bed can be very emotional for lot of people. The bed is our resting area. Where we can be true to ourselves. Not all the people in this world have learnd speak the truth in their life. Yet, there are still many people think they have to lie to make it though this life. They can fake it but can't make it through this life having happiness.
I don't watch television. I am done with watching make believe.
We find thing's with the truth.
'what my kid like? They really loved Android 207. Volunteerly want to watching over and over. I respect my kid's opinions. Specially when they made right judgement and I am there to support their good believes. We all loved it so it is our truth. Then moment was there and done. If any one have a diffrent opinion about what I do or...
Then good. It is their opinion and it is not mine.
I only focus on the moment of truth.
That is what this world is serching for. We had enough bubble's in this society we living in. As a public eyes, I focus on truth starting from me and my family. That is my area. I know I can not change the world. I make sure we are here to support the good and understand the bad to give them a lot of space to grow like I did.
I had to mention all this.
