i think the track is what makes the video work...cause its not about the video and its content alone per say...its about how the culture of fixed gear riding is influencing a trend happening...its managing to reach a high point before it comes down, and this video among others serves to identify the anomaly of hipster fixed gear culture...this is video anthropology..the music attests to suggest how the event had something working for it to make people enjoy nike...yes nike benefits..but there is a large symbolic representation that Nike grasps by saying yes we will be a part of this...if there is any company that is cutting edge on top of cultural sport breakthroughs...its nike..
It always vexes me when people think companies like Nike are only picking up on emergent cultural signals when they are at their peak, when everyone in the industry of consumer products and branding knows far before the booming signals...
It's a mediocre Nike commercial for hipsters. Why don't they bring some of their groovy nike clothes to the next critical mass, and that other ride you people in L.A. do, where, everyone gets drunk and smashes into each other.
But that's not really targeting the hipster cash in pocket market now, is it.
oh yeah, cool song...

I mean look at what happened to skateboarding.
And try riding a fixed gear sometime- its fun as hell.
Stop criticizing others on their lifestyle- go live your life and hope people stay out of your business.
