This video represents an initial attempt to portray through moving images the story of the girls associated with Humana People to People India.

With the help of the good people of Humana, we were able to make intimate portraits of the girls as well as private moments with the families. The result, a snapshot of their lives as told through both video and still film.

For ten years, Humana sponsored schools in approximately a dozen images near and around Virat Nagar, Rajasthan. Now and then more funding would result in a higher number of schools, reaching the number of eighteen a few years ago.

This year the classrooms fell silent, funding ceased to exist and therefore the schools had to be closed. We are in the process of locating the generosity needed to support these most beautiful girls, our sisters and daughters in another land, in their quest to better themselves and our mutual world.

Let us hope for the sake of all involved that we succeed.
