In the fall of 2003, the students of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey were literally divided on College Avenue. During one weekend, opposing student groups had organized simultaneous conference in response to Middle East violence: one in support of Palestinians, the other for Israelis. The competing events drew the attention and participation of tens of thousands of people throughout the country and beyond. Beyond Inspiration takes a closer look at the events and people that turned a local campus conflict into a statewide debate over the question of Israel and Palestine.
