'An Afternoon with Walt'

ABOUT THE FILM:

On September 1st, 2010 - Poet Walt Curtis, the Author of 'Mala Noche' and inspiration of Gus Van Sant's debut film of the same name, was recorded throughout the course of one afternoon by a few of his close friends.

Though the footage presented has been edited for time, none of it has been altered or tampered with. The film is strictly a document of one day with the Writer.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Walt Curtis is a Portland based Poet and Writer. He is considered the Unofficial Poet Laureate of Portland, and has inspired countless amount of artists, filmmakers, musicians, and writers. He has read with many other influential Authors such as Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and Ken Kesey. His most well known novel, Mala Noche, was the inspiration for Gus Van Sant's debut feature of the same name, and he has been featured in various films including Peckerneck Poet and recently Salmon Poet by Sabrina Guitart.
