The Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation (IAHF) had the Thomas-Morse S4 Scout, affectionately known as ”Tommy,” on display at the History Center’s Rhiner Festival.

President Don Funke and the other members of the Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation are now raising funds to restore the plane.

Originally built in the old Morse Chain Factory in Ithaca in 1918, ninety two years later ‘Tommy’ has come home to be restored to flying condition and preserved as a symbol of Ithaca’s aviation heritage. The Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation, Inc. (IAHF) is proud to be leading a community wide effort to celebrate this heritage.
