This was the first shoot with my sgpro 35mm adapter. I wanted to test it in the forest because I have a project coming up with lots of footage shot in this type of location. I had my girlfriend help me out a bit!

I also got the sg follow focus so I was trying to get used to that too.

There is no colour correction and the edit was chopped together in about an hour.

Looks fantastic, especially love the closeup shots. What made you decide to go with the SGpro?

My favorite shots are 1:06 and 1:54.
And also, the shot at 2:28 is a very beautiful shot, something that would look good in your reel.

How good is the follow focus?

The sg blade won't be out for a while and i've heard the Letus doesn't work to well with higher aperture numbers. The top end Letus was out of budget.

I've heard lots of reports that the sgpro works well with the xha1

That's exactly the reason why I bought the sgpro rev 3.

wow. The image is sharp. Love the Long shots with the sgpro. I watched lots of hv20 adapter movies here and they are all unsharp. DUnno why. Guess that is what you get from buying a cheap cam like the hv20. The xha1 is something different...superior.

There's nothing wrong with the HV20. In the right hands you'd be hard pressed to see the difference between it and the XH-A1.

I see xha1 videos popping up like insects. And they are hot. Most of the adapter 35mm thing I saw so far are best with the xha1. But at the end, I don't need the things on the xha1. I prefer a sereparate audio field recorder and a light weight camera for the future steadicam merlin or glidecam. The longer the cam, the harder it is to control adapters. BUt I feel that they will become shorter and shorter...the 35mm adapters.

The shot at 00:45 and 46, with the light moving through the trees across the floor, magic. A fraction of a second longer... :)
    Great work
