Organizers are overwhelmed with the success the massive coastal clean-up event on Aotea/Great Barrier Island.
Hundreds of volunteers tackled the rugged coastlines on foot, from boats and in kayaks to remove over 2.2 tonnes of rubbish from the remote island – a true show of their passion to keep New Zealand beautiful.
Sustainable Coastlines provides ideas, coordination and support to communities to initiate, pursue and take ownership of local projects that will help improve their particular coastal environment.
Green Lemon Pictures went out on location to Aotea/Great Barrier Island and captured the stories behind the hundreds of volunteers and school kids who dedicated their weekend to help sustain the beautiful environment on Great Barrier Island.
