The United States is engaged in the British model of empire with its role in Iraq. Set up a puppet government, support it with a US trained army/police force, backed up by thousands of US troops and most importantly the US air force. It is the air force tat allows teh troops on the ground the leverage to keep the American puppet government in power in Iraq.
