As The Mexican Museum in San Francisco reengages its exhibition program, we go behind the scene during the changing of shows from August 17 to September 10, 2010. The time-lapse movie begins with Preparator Keith Evans and Registrar Jacki Arase removing artwork from the previous exhibition. After clearing the gallery, artwork is installed for the upcoming exhibition, Images: Independence and Revolution, on view September 11, 2010 to February 20, 2011. Guest Curators Nora E. Wagner and Eduardo Pineda join the team. Not seen is Conservator Valerie Huaco. The new exhibition celebrates the bicentennial of Mexican Independence and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution. Artwork by José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and contemporary artists Santa C. Barraza, Enrique Chagoya, Rupert Garcia, Ester B. Hernandez, Carmen Lomas Garza, and Emmanuel Montoya.
