So here is day 3 with the Nex VG10. Still loving every minute I have with it, a popped downtown for a few hours cause I knew this tribute was taking place and filmed a few random moments from the festival. I had a very stressful day and wasn't quite feeling the rhythm for this test shoot, but here it is for all to see. A quick reminder to anyone looking at past videos and this video. I was shooting an experimental idea to compensate for not having an ND filter I was speeding up shutter to 1/1000 so you might see a choppy effect you might not. I was liking the textures I was getting yesterday and today with this technique, but I'm sure it is a huge no no since you really shouldn't go above 1/60. Does anybody know if filmmakers ever employ this technique not for the purpose to slow down the footage, but for the look and feel it gives in bright light outdoors?
