Music: The Ink Spots

2005

Note: The flash compression made these images look horrible. Please download the Quicktime file. There is a slight glow in the color treatment and that somehow got messed up by the Flash Compression. Cheers!

I have kind of a sad version of this. Would you like to see it?

It looks good to me, even in flash.

I feel it looks 'ok'. But i think the compression takes the softness and garbles it a little. If you download the QT file you'll see what I mean.

  • The Flash compression actually makes your filter work look chemical like film. It looks like high quality, 29.87 fps 16mm. Weird.

I actually think this would work really well as a silent piece, too.

I agree on it being a silent piece. I had thought to set it to Italian music at first. But thought, eh, nah. So I set it to this really moody, sad piece of music that some friends made entitled "Fields Sway" (which I will post as Remyyy would like to see it) and that was just too depressing and I didn't like the ending. Then found that The Ink Spots' tunes have this perfect rhythm that worked with gondola swaying. I didn't slowdown the rocking. Only thing slowed down was the shot of the blankets blowing in the wind. Back to the music... yeah I'd love to find some music that will work and isn't copyrighted.

Oh well, it's just vacation footage anyways.
  • One of my favorite things to do is to mash together footage I've collected and to see what happens.
