Primal 2 is a Human Powered Vehicle developed for the 2010 competition at Battle Mountain.

When I was invited to help out at this competition, I had an idea of what it took to make one of these machines. However, I had no concept of how much detail and attention it took to get these vehicles to a competitive level.

I also learned how the man-machine synthesis is the key to a good outcome. The relationship between pilot and vehicle is truly synergetic.

The event itself was inspiring, with an amazing community of people clustered around the fastest Human Powered Vehicles in the world.
