thanks! was a knackering shoot.. 12 hours solid on camera.. one take
myself and rory as the 'stop motion' subjects..

howling gale made it pretty tough! and checking focus at 6am when it was still dark was a real test..
cheers for the feedback.. pls spread the video!

Wow, a lot of fun work. I love the optical printer look with all of the film elements, like the hair in the gate and glare and the black margins. I've done time lapse on Super 8 before and I know it's do or die, a one shot deal. Also nice focus and depth of field for Super 8 as well. Fun!
Where did you get the gorilla suit?
  • visual-hybrid plus 1 year ago
Hello Shawn, cheers for the comments. yeah was a huge gamble.. started filming while it was dark to get the sunrise so had to check focus range with torch and a line down a pad of paper.. 'sketchy'

Hired the gorilla suit from local fancy dress, ended up keeping as hire amounted to more than value of suit.. good souvenir for fancy dress..

    Glad you liked. Cheers Paul

    I liked the inflatable banana.

More straight8 film makers should upload their films to Vimeo.

How did you plan the action? Storyboard?
  • visual-hybrid plus 1 year ago
Cheers Lyall.. yeah the banana worked out really well. Wanted to have actions happening that would be slow occurring.
    Tent.. banana etc

Didn't story board but did have clear idea in my head about what was going to happen where and when..

    Glad you liked
