This is a low budget music video I directed and shot for the Chicago Grindcore band Harpoon. The narrative portion was shot 16mm color and B&W film. The performance footage was shot with an HVX200. We degradged the footage in post to get the grainy look, as well as the 'glitches' and 'drop outs'. The video's style is inspired by the old "Twilight Zone" and "The Outer Limits" type of television shows. We wanted the viewer to feel like they were watching a Kafkaesque B-Movie from a beat up VHS tape. This was produced through Chicago's Deathblow Productions and Interloper Records.
