Making the video:

All of the backing tracks were sequenced and recorded into Digital Performer 5.13 on my iMac. I then play back the audio through an M-Audio USB audio interface, while playing live synths along with it, with all of that audio then going into a Mackie 1202 mixer and then out to a Canopus ADVC-100 A/D firewire converter box. The Canopus box also has the video output of my camcorder (Sony DCR-DVD403) plugged into it, and the audio/video from the Canopus runs back into the iMac, where iMovie records it. So - my iMac is running DP, playing back the tune, while simultaneously re-recording all of the audio and adding the video feed into iMovie, which is running alongside DP.
