"The photographs and filming took place using a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon EF 100mm Macro USM"

    5D mark2 at this FPS rate? O_o

From my reading the campaign stills which you can see on the Dentsu Flickr were shot with a 5DMk II. The video however looks like it was shot with a Phantom HD. There is a write up on the Dentsu Blog.

  • I was pleasantly surprised to see a concept I used in 2007 for my MA Applied Imagination final project applied by Dentsu today. Have a look:

  • The (analog) reality still hides many wonders - thanks for making it visible in such a beautiful way!

Just... Cut... Out... The end with the Pixma. Please? Hahaha

Just kidding, I respect this Photographer very much!
I've been following him for quite a while now!
I wouldn't consider this selling out at all.

The one thing I really wish for is an extended version of this! I'm quite sure we're limited by the Frames Photron or Phanthom cameras can shoot right now at usable Resolution though. I have a DVD called "Advanced Beauty" and it's a bunch of Sound Sculptures but rendered in CGI/3D instead of Real Life Physical Objects.

There are no plans for an extended version at this stage, but there are a whole bunch of shorter out takes from the main film. Moments that we couldn't fit into the 60 second piece. Check them out on flickr flickr.com/search/?q=dentsu+london

What type of paint did you use for this? It reacts so well with the lights and its so vibrant or is this thanks mostly to the post processing?
