Filmed with a Canon 514XL-S Super8 camera using reversal b/w.
The film was processed at Yale in Burbank, Ca. I transferred the film, so it is obviously flawed. I was going to test using different shutter speeds, but I realize now that my video camera is a POS. I used a Video Transfer System I bought brand new at a thrift store for $2, and I'm still learning how to use it.
This is the first time I've used this camera, so this is the result of a test cartridge. Since I'm finishing up a script and getting ready to shoot a short film, I wanted to make sure the camera works.

Analog is Love.
That's Jacob for you; you turn a camera on him and he'll do something mischievous. =D
I'm really looking forward to your short now.
Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words, Dan!
There's something haunting about bw reversal Super 8.
I don't know why, but Vimeo is no longer alerting me when I get comments on anything.
art making should be fun and cheap!
keep up the good work.
If you drop the chroma to zero it will get rid of the distracting color noise. Add a tint after if that's what you're going for. Makes for higher efficiency in the codec as well.
Just a suggestion, of course.
HAHA....canon. Damn...I didn't catch that. Thanks!
BTW, the overall look reminds me of Gondry's Levi's ad.
Thanks for the nice words!
I'm an animation student. If there's anything I could help you with from a distance, I would be honored.
This could be the ending sequence of a very good movie
A dramatic/nostalgic ending and then credits here
