    Camera? Fps?
  • Trankilstef plus 1 year ago
It must be Canon 5d Mark 2 I guess... Take a look at the related collections on the right, the only collection with a camera name is about Canon 5D mkII...
  • Antoine Dutilh 1 year ago
na 7D, 5d mark II doesnt do that many fps
  • Michael Lapp plus 1 year ago
7D does 60FPS at 720 but this is more than that. If he used Twixtor, it could be either one
  • AY MAN 4 months ago
7d does 50/60 at 720. and if yall check out that video on youtube, the highest resolution is 720, not 1080, so it must have been a 7d for sure or they might as well just upload the video at 1080 right.
yup twixtor was also added. i can see the effects myself.

    Awesome work! Twixtor I assume?
  • Yes, you can see some distortion in some places.

But you can also use Pixel Motion in AAE or Optical Flow in Motion, Twixtor is more advance though, and can generate better results.
  • Joe Watts 1 year ago
yeah, at 1:26, watch her foot as it goes downward, thats the most obvious distortion yet very minimal. ive used twixtor and i must say it is hard to get results like this.
    amazing video

I probably will be the only one not liking this video. The music is 3 piano notes that aspire to be an emotional expression - but they are not and I really don't get the the counting numbers and all those technical lines. To place something only to make the video cool is missing the point. I don't see the e-motion in this motion. All I see is some suspiciously done montage and those pointless lines and numbers. To sterilize those dancers like that...
  • Salomon plus 1 year ago
success dude, fosho! honestly... watching it again now with my wife [ex south african ballet theatre dancer] - and we're both moved and inspired!!
    and surfing makes me smile!
  • Jacob Lewis plus 1 year ago
I think it's a great piece. Yes, I've seen those lines/numbers, camera shake, and time ramping before; but as they say, there's nothing new under the sun. You approved upon those techniques and styles... and I think you did a really great job with them (setting a new bar if you ask me). The views reflect the quality, and numbers never lie. So anyone who says otherwise is just plain silly :)
  • Daniel Ostrem 1 year ago
Hey man don't listen to bad criticism. This is art through and through. I loved it man! Mad skills, keep it up.
  • Stefan Nikolovski 1 year ago
Like I said, I might be the only one here that's not impressed and yet you don't have to impress everybody in this world.

Your video is not bad by any means but to me it falls under the category of overly produced/designed but sterile vids we are used to see from large companies. And this is actually a compliment. If you managed to do all this by yourself, you are going to get a lot of calls from those companies for sure. It would work perfectly as a part of a website or I don't know an ad for sneakers? I just don't see this as an independent piece. For me it fails to do do so and yet it tries so desperately at that, that's why I'm bothered.

Education has nothing to do with what you do or how good you're doing it so... I studied graphic design but so what... Also, I don't have to make videos to appreciate or make comments about them. Art and Design are open to the public like it or not.

My country doesn't have access to see unfortunately but I have other things in life to make me smile. Like this video for example: youtube.com/watch?v=RNuUgbUzM8U

  • SHUETI 1 year ago
    yeah that's true. thanks.
  • Paolo A. Santos 1 year ago
I hate to intrude here, but with much respect Stefan Nikolovski, I believe that it would be much more appropriate and with proper etiquette and respect if your opinion on this work would be transmitted privately to the author of this film as supposed to publicly. Your opinion and thoughts on this film has some validity and you have every right to express them, this will help us all learn to improve ourselves to find some meaning and purpose in what we create, if need be, and I thank you for that.

However, this is one kick-ass piece of work that is truly inspirational! I have watched this so many times with my wife who used to be a ballet dancer but now works with Cirque du Soleil and we are definitely inspired by the technical and conceptual arrangement of this film. Thank you for sharing and keep the work coming. You have raised the bar for me.

really stefan you %$#^ that was great, i see you don't have any video's not sure you have a voice if we cant see your work.

Sorry, Stefan Nikolovski doesn't have any videos yet.

    nice work guys!
  • Eric Veras 1 year ago
I love how some people with ZERO-videos posted have nothing but criticism. This was a great piece. Well done. On a related note; Roger, you have some pretty nice work going on too. I hate cheese but love your video.
  • iamkeir 1 year ago
I think criticism, good and bad, should be welcomed - and publicly so. Vimeo is a community, let's share our videos and our thoughts!

I like this video a great deal, I really do... but, as a dancer myself, I felt it was over-stylised in *some* places - sometimes I think the visual will speak for itself. And the visual in this, before the graphics applied, are really quite powerful. Dancing... human movement, is deeply personal and emotive and carries much power. Respect, either way - it's a great piece.

  • what do you mean by "slider"?? and what lenses did you use?

thanks a lot! its a superb piece, absolutely mesmerizing
  • Dan Rubottom plus 1 year ago
This is SO top notch. My first impression was probably using a Phantom or RED 120fps combined with Twixtor- and a Fisher dolly! (the moves looked too long to be a typical slider) but no! I love that you didn't need those to pull this off.
Absolutely gorgeous, direction, cinematography, editing, grading, and mograph!

I absolutely love the original track and when I first heard the initial few bars on here I thought it was going to be a classic song that would be ruined. Far from it, I really admire the way you've crafted such an elegant piece into a raw physical piece. I will happily advocate this, good job.
