First/preliminary leg of our journey. We leave Bellingham, WA for my childhood home across the state in Spokane. Along the way we visit such places as the Bellingham Community Food Co-op, a community canvassing meeting for Barack Obama Christine Gregoire Kevin Ranker and the Washington Conservation Voters, Farmer's Market, the Hub Community Bike Co-op and the Hempest (organic sustainable clothing store).

Along the way we battle a weak CV axle and worry about funding... there is a lot that needs to be done if this cross country documentary is going to happen.

Upcoming episode should include goodies like interviews with grassroots political organizers, the creators of the Tango electric car (it's FAST!), program director of KYRS LP community radio (one of a kind!) and more.
