    nice, i was wondering what all the hype about magic bullet looks was, i now i have a basic understanding.

    would you recommend looking into it for color correction or do you think the basic tools in fcp/avid/premiere work well enough?

    magic bullets is nice. I like to use it a bit, maybe too much, in some of my shorts. I'm also getting used to the basic 3 way color corrector from FCP which is pretty nice.

    its always good to have a few tools in your bag, if used properly magic bullets can provide an amazing look and feel to your video.

    Magic bullet is great and creates any look you want, but works best when the source footage is well shot. It can get overdone, and people will focus on the color instead of the images if used excessively. Good tests.

    It purely was for aesthetic reasons, that software saved my ass and helped me attain what I was looking for and couldn't achieve practically during the time I shot it.

    The video was very compressed so I couldn't feel the quality of magic bullets. Wasn't there a halo around the head in the last clip?

    yeah that was done on purpose, the halo. This was just a test, showing some of the many "looks" templates that are available. thanks for checking it out.
