The Western Rim is a ~20 mile ride located in Rabbit Valley 19 miles west of Fruita, CO.

Among the public riding choices, Rabbit Valley offers the most "backcountry" feel. The scenery and overall riding experience are superb.

Riding with a GPS lets you focus on the ride, rather than route finding, as the trails are many and signs few and far in-between in Rabbit Valley.

This fall (2010) the trails in Rabbit Valley are off-the-hook. Recent rains have the normally sandy, loose trails packed down hard as concrete.
