A sea of bobbing cowboy hats and beautiful Latina's dance in tight embraces to traditional Mexican music on most nights at El Nuevo Rodeo on Lake Street in Minneapolis. Night after night, the Rodeo brings in the biggest stars from Latin America. "They can identify with what's truly Ranchero," says Maya Santamaria, a cultural anthropologist who also happens to own the place. "Not Mexican American, but Mexican. And it's still cool."
