Sightsavers, an international charity, has been working in Pakistan since 1998. There objective is to provide eye care and to prevent and control blindness for the poorest people in both urban and rural areas. They work to develop preventive services as well as a full range of treatments.

This documentary is about how Sight savers helped a small village Kila Viran to move beyond the endemic Trachoma in a 3 year project. Blindness is linked to poverty and to overcome this handicap Sight savers helped the village towards sustainable development. The focused on inclusive education system, health care system, advocacy for the disabled and inclusion in decision making and business opportunities. They also upgraded eye care units in government district hospitals, and improved governance by working with national and provincial governments and other partners that are Irish Aid, Standard Chartered Bank and LRBT.
