In honor of the first-ever Nelson Mandela Day, Brand New School and Ralph Applebaum & Associates teamed with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the 46664 campaign to create a Jumbotron installation in New York City's Grand Central Station. Mixing archival footage and artful typographic animation, the widescreen LED projection showcased Mr. Mandela's legacy, highlighting milestones of his struggle to spur people to volunteer.
