You underestimate yourself... I have just had 569 plays of "the transport one" in the last 3 hours I can't believe this.... and it cant be just searches? never had that happen in any of my animations before. Well done. Looks a good blog too.

    Cheers
    Anita

It might be hard manufacturing enough of those bikes when the remaining oil is all sequestered into the military systems.

I think there are bikes made of bamboo which are really cool. bikebamboo.com/ and instructables.com/id/How-to-Build-a-Bamboo-Bicycle/ However they still need metal parts. you may be right, but our priorities may still be that bicycles would be a good thing to make to get us around. It is about the journey instead of speed. I had a friend how even walked from London to Rome. I thx

Sorry, that is some kind of rant following. Hope you can cope with harsh critique:

Seldom, I had such a good laugh, while watching a video. Do you really, really believe, mankind will switch back to walking? or do you really believe, that it is good for the environment, to switch back to horses for mass-transport (or pulling ships)?

There was once a time, when the streets of NY were covered in horse-poop, so that a lot of the entrances to the homes were built with stairs (as you can still see today). Thinking about the CO2-Emissions, that these animals would produce, your vision seems more like the dream of someone not really thinking about the consequences.

sorry to say that, but I really am sad, that a lot environmentalist have such a naive-romantic notion of the past times, that the would gladly kill the development of mankind for their ideology. Just like the church did in medieval times.

Also I had a laugh, when I saw the wind generator. Do you know, that these things, especially offshore, destroy a lot of lifeforms? today there is no construction-method, that works within the (already weak) regulations on noise protection for sea-animals. especially whales or crab-like animals suffer a lot from that.

and landbuild wind generators kill birds and bats.

sea cables produce a magnetic field, that disturbs the orientation of some species. and produce a noise, that is disturbing for a lot of animals living near these things. not to mention, that the sight destroys beautiful landscapes.

I am not saying, that we should carry on as today, but I hope, that there will be better solutions in the future, then naive-romantic notions, that do more harm then good.

I know, that the chance of a environmentalist actually listening to a the voice of reason is really small, but I for my part am a person, that tries to find the rational best possible solution. So i tend to question a lot of assumptions, we all encounter every day.
