Ralph Nader vies for the nomination as Presidential candidate for the California Peace and Freedom Party with these remarks at the party's 2008 convention held in August. One of four candidates, Nader win of this nomination will have been a great success for the campaign, while losing it would have probably meant losing the invaluable California ballot line.

Nader later proceeded to win the nomination in the first round which required receiving 51+% of the delegate votes.
