After watching your DIY SteadiCam video, I was very impressed! I also enjoyed the video of your son - he's a handsome little chap! Then I also watched your DIY 35mm adapter video, but my French is pretty poor, and experienced some difficulty following your parts descriptions - is it possible to get an English translation?
S'il vous plait? (Did I get that right?)

    10/10 good french.
Sorry I deleted my editing video of 35mm.
You have some another tuto on youtube...

Thanks everyone for all your posts :)

Found this at a store in Toronto for $169 new

    blackphotostore.com/english/proddetail.asp?sku=5409

    their website is modo.manfrotto.com/

I tested it out in the store with my camera, seems to work pretty well. Its pretty much exactly what you've got here. Im just to lazy to try to build one. I think im going to go back to the store today to buy it.

And im sure anyone could order one of these.

  • stephen greg 1 year ago
I put the tuto of my 35mm.
If it's that you wanted to know.
  •
  • Angel Navarro III 1 year ago
Oh I meant.. What does the adapter do?
  • Mark Fong 11 months ago
I think it allows him to attach a 35mm film/slr lens to his camcorder. I don't think it actually is a "vibrating" adapter, I think it is supposed to be the name of the adapter, "Vibrant."
  • stephen greg 11 months ago
A 35mm adapter reduces the deph of field,
and add some grain like movies,
According to the used objectives like Cinema.
Cause with every standard cam DV or HD, the deph of field is between ~5 (to ~40mm with zoom in put on).
The picture on these cams are too "Digital technology".

Yes, it's a vibrating system, if you look my video at 5'30 you'll see in the left top corner a moved dark spot, I didn't zoom correctly.

    Hi greg! Cool stuff!
    I have a question:
What's the length the two aluminium brooms?
    Thanx!
  • stephen greg 8 months ago
    Hi,
    First tube : ~130mm
    Second : ~300mm
The second is better to buy an extensible tube like me.
You can adjust it as well:
    video.master.free.fr/images/steadinew0ptit.JPG

And look the L rotule here for 15€:
    woodbrass.com/product_info.php?products_id=13057&af=35

    Good luck
