I got the LX5 with the intention of shooting photos, but being a filmmaker I just had to try out the 720p capabilities.

Here is a very quick test run with the camera. There are a number of things that don't look great such as the compression and sensor streaking, but when you look past all of the nitty gritty technical stuff, this thing can produce some great looking video. It fits in my pocket and has a 24mm (equivalent) wide angle. What else do you need to know?
