I used FCP 3 Way CC. Key is to raise the mids, lower the highlights and bring the blacks slightly into the blue.

haha I loved this. It feels like if Wes Anderson and Jared Hess had a baby and the baby was How TO Fly A Kite. Great job
  • Al Ibrahim plus 1 year ago
I totally see the Wes Anderson / Jared Hess-ness too.

This was incredible. I'm gonna watch it a thousand more times, but I think this may be my favorite short film yet.

were you inspired by "Death to the Tinman"?
  • Paul Trillo plus 1 year ago
I was not familiar with the film at the time. But I've checked it out since you've suggested it and it's a nice piece.

"Glory at Sea" is also pretty wonderful. It's by a different Director but same film collective as Ray Tintori called Court13. Worth a watch if you haven't already: vimeo.com/10066407.

Beautiful short. What picture profile preset/settings did you use on your camera?
  • Paul Trillo plus 1 year ago
No preset, just turned saturation and contrast down. The rest is done in FCP.
