Mark has Type 1 Diabetes and has to take two shots of insulin every day. This surgery will help him live longer!

Holy crap. So much is happening in our world right now.

My surgery
The giant two day blow out garage sale
Our move to the city
And now this!

Don't ask how we're managing all of this, but we're doing it. I want to be able to do some creative stuff, but it's just not possible right now, so the next best thing is to document our lives so we can look back and laugh a little.

Oh and I think Mark is getting a tiny bit more comfortable being in front of the camera. It only took me twelve years to get him to this point. hee hee

:-)

    hahah
"ahhhhh do I have a choice?"
    "no!"

My stepmom just had gastric bypass and her sister had the lap band surgery. They're both doing really well and it's such a great thing to help when it comes to health issues. My stepmom fell, hurt her back, had surgery, got a clot in her lung, almost died, and then couldn't walk without oxygen and her sister has kidney problems, they're both going to live longer because of these surgeries!

excellent! mark will certainly benefit. his sister had it done and she's completely off her insulin. amazing!

    "Uh-okay."

I should have refreshed the comments so I could just write "ditto" on Heather's comment (except for the gastric bypass part).

    Haha,
my translator defines "lap band" as "seat belt" cause it couldn't manage the two words together.

Aand as the other's ... the "Do I have a choice.." Stuff is wonderful, I can feel with Marc. (some claps on his shoulders from me could hopefully be helpful)
  • loonachic plus 1 year ago
ha ha! i'm sure he can use all the help he can get :-)
  • loonachic plus 1 year ago
oh. ps. if you haven't figured it out already, lap band surgery is this lapband.com/get_informed/about_lapband/how_it_works/

Ahh, now I understand a "remote pneumatic hose clamp" ;)

I love how your voice gets higher-pitched and you speak faster as you excitedly attempt to persuade Mark to share his lap band surgery progress through a series of videos. I think you're almost wishing you could go under the knife again just to film another one of your epic surgical video series! I guess this means I'll need to recruite some more Vimeons to make a tribute vid for Mark!

ha ha! i think i'm just excited to record the process of things. i'm weird.

If you keep filming these (impressive) serials you never make it to Holland to film mine! (I have to go to the dentist!) Fortunately we have good health care over here but suppose Mark has to pay for it? Why not go to Mexico? Love this one: vimeo.com/786304

    count down to dentistry!

Good luck and best wishes to you and Mark with everything you are going through.

It is nice to see Mark in front of the camera. I love his SJ accent. I have just about completely lost mine. :( Oh how I long for the Jersey shore!

Let's get together once you and Mark are settled into your new place. I think Gregg would enjoy meeting you both.

    Love and hugs!
