Get To Work & Get Off Oil. A Bike Ride For A Clean Energy Future.
To raise awareness of the potential of a clean energy future for Prince Edward Island and the impact to our small Island of not addressing climate change Adam MacIsaac biked from the northern coastal shoreline of Prince Edward Island into the province capital Charlottetown to the Province House (The birth place of Canada) on a hybrid electric bicycle to urge both provincial and federal governments to increase the support of harnessing the large amount of wind energy potential.
Adam departed from the beach in where he grew up at in Cablehead at 8am (close to St. Peter's Bay) and took the Rails to Trails from St. Peter's Bay through Morell, all the way to York, Brackley and into downtown Charlottetown.
Prince Edward Island could be the leader in Canada as well as a model for the international community for a clean energy future. Its time to get off oil and get to work, starting with one bike ride into the future.
