Cheri Sheridan is a fabric artist from Cortland NY and a member of the "Quilt Divas" (thequiltdivas.com)- an association of quilt & fabric artists from the Fingerlakes region of Upstate New York.
The Quilt Divas created an art quilt to benefit the "Dining for Women" charity (diningforwomen.org) - an organization of women helping women that donates funds to charities that empower women & girls throughout the developing world.
Cheri created a panel inspired by the "Love 146" program (love146.org), which combats child sex slavery throughout the world.
During this interview Cheri discusses why she chose "Love 146" as the topic for her quilt panel, and the challenges she faced in artistically depicting such an emotionally difficult topic.
