    Excellent!

I'm curious about the oil though as I have found no comment about this anywhere... Is it legal to sell a poster like this using un-treated oil? Are these laminated? I'm just really curious because I've refrained from using certain materials in some work I was going to do due to possible issues like this.

    Hi Philip,

The oil we used comes from the beaches of Grand isle, Louisiana. It was lying there for some time already, so it was mixed with sand, shells, etc. Therefore, the oil is thicker than crude oil.

Thanks to the screen printing technique, all residue was filtered, and only the pure oil is used on the posters.

As the posters smelled like oil when they were printed, we put them in an oven, to ‘bake’ them into the paper. To our surprise, the smell disappeared

As we used real oil from the beach, we had a lot of impurities and residue, which damaged the screen a little. As a result, all posters look different.
