World Orphans is focused on building a community center, The Refuge, as a way to care for the entire community. By offering vocational training and spiritual discipleship, World Orphans can minister to these people in a variety of ways. In keeping with our mission for self-sustainability, the center will have a celebration hall that can be used for private events like weddings and parties. And as the only facility of its kind in the region, The Refuge will provide just that, hope, for widows, orphans and families in the area.

In addition to the center, the property will also have a garden area, a playground and a soccer field for the children of the Freedom Martyr’s Village. Once this phase of construction is complete, western short-term teams will have the opportunity to travel to the village, host clinics and share the gospel.
