The largest schoolyard garden in Canada grows food for the hungry.

TV host enjoys harvest time at Emery Collegiate Institute.

The 21,00 square foot garden in the Jane/Finch area high school had an OPEN GARDEN and HARVEST CELEBRATIONS, with pumpkin carving, planting, harvesting, tours, tastings, and so much more.

The local Staples team and TDSB students planted 40 fruit trees and gave a donation of money and school supplies to students.

PACT Grow to Learn Initiative takes place in seven schools in Toronto. It addresses several issues:

-The need to create safe, friendly spaces for students, after school that reinforce community values through our universal love of food.
-There is a lack of access to affordable, fresh vegetables in many neighbourhoods in which PACT works.
