Used Kronos with an extremely complex shape (the gate), and slowed down to approx 30%
Added ColorCorrect pass and slight Glow pass just for fun as well as a 3-way gradient overlay.
Filmed with Canon 7D + Glidecam HD 2000

Wondering what settings you used on your camera to make this effect work?
I'm assuming 50/60fps and a high shutter?
And what settings you used on Kronos too.
Sorry if it seems like a lot to ask, but it'd be a great help :)
In kronos, I did not make any masks (results would have been a lot better) but increased the vector detail to a high value. I basically played around with values till the gate looked okay.
