The Parade of Tears was a unique march to protest the violation and dehumanization of women and children sold into forced prostitution each year in the state of Ohio. Between 700 and 900 students and Columbus citizens re-traced the historic underground railroad during this march while symbolically standing with those who suffer as victims of modern-day slavery by being chained, wearing the 'bar code' logo, carrying signs and other visual means of solidarity. The march was covered by NBC news and several local newspapars. The Parade of Tears march was created by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's National Campaign Director, R. York Moore.
