Sometimes people ask me questions about my FPV plane setup so I made this video to show what it looks like.
My plane setup is a homemade foam board airplane with a big undercambered wing (just curved foam board) and a tall fuselage so the camera can look out under the prop. I have an Axi 2826/12 motor on it with a 70 amp Jeti ESC (I went overboard for robustness). The batteries are FMA's 3 cell 3200 mah lipos and I love their chargers. I use three 401 gyro's to stabilize the plane. The ailerons and rudder stay in the heading hold mode and the elevator stays in the rate mode of the gyro. The FPV is through a KX 191 and 500 mw 900 mhz transmitter to a DVD player I keep in my truck on the seat. The camera that records the video is a Sanyo HDA1 720p HD camcorder that records directly to SD card. I use a Spektrum 2.4 DX7 Tx and an AR9000 Rx.
If you still have questions about the setup please post a comment below and I will reply.
