by Katherine Johnson, Ph.D.

Earth Science Week is a celebration of our Earth. Through demonstrations and short presentations, the Department of Geology/Geography will commemorate this occasion. We will look at fossils, hear about remote sensing, learn about the exploration for coal and find out about the societal impact of the Gulf Oil spill. This event is sponsored by the Geology Club at Eastern Illinois University.

Presentations:
> Remote Sensing, Dave Viertel
> Discovering Past Lives - Fossils, Katherine Johnson
> Connecting to the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster, Cameron Craig
> Power From Our Earth - Coal Mining, Adam Hardesty
