Asociación de Productores Indígenas y Campesinos de Riosucio Caldas Asproinca - Colombia (EN)

Based in the northern Caldas region of Colombia, Asociación de Productores Indígenas y Campesinos de Riosucio Caldas (ASPROINCA) is a community-based organization that works with close to 400 indigenous farming families to diversify their agricultural production in an environmentally responsible manner.

In 2008, ASPROINCA won the Equator Prize which is awarded biennially to recognize outstanding community efforts to reduce poverty through the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. This video was created as part of our Biodiversity for Local Livelihoods project.
