A short online documentary by Kyle Couture about the underground culture and sport of rollerblading. The documentary expresses the views and opinions of several rollerbladers who have an undying passion for the sport outsiders overlook. The sport has been discarded by the mainstream deemed unpopular and left behind in the extreme sports craze. The documentary features some of the best rollerbladers from the east coast and the world including Andrew Smolak, Brian Long, Dylan Shippee, Gabe Holm, Jeff Dalnas, John O' Donnell, Keegan Smith, Mark Wojda, Mo Marzuq, Ross Anthony, Taylor Green, Tim Kelly and more.

unbelievable. not only was the level of production just flat out amazing, but you managed to pretty much capture (in my opinion) how rollerbladers feel about rollerblading without coming off corny or superficial, which are the two big dangers. cogratulations, and well done.

Speechless. The most impressive aspect of it is that you were uncompromising in your vision. It seems that you accomplished exactly what you set out to do with razor sharp accuracy. Excellent work.

Really pretty, good looking piece. It was put together well and the spots were amazing, beyond amazing. The thing that bothered me is these rollerblading "documentaries" always rehash the same issues. Is there nothing new to say? Well done otherwise.

As much as I would like to cry after watching this, this video reminds me why I am a rollerblader, why I continue to support it in my local community in Singapore despite knee and back pains from skating, and why I still continue to roll/shoot/film after 13 years.

Thematically and visually brilliant. At the end I found myself not wanting it to end, wishing that you would have taken this production on the road to capture the same emotion (and imagery) from skaters everywhere. I just came back from the skate park and now I wanna go back out. I am so immensely proud that this piece exists. This is definitely what I will be watching to get my 28 year old body/mind juiced to keep going out and pushing it.

The video is great, as is the fact that someone outside the rollerblading world had the interest to point the camera at this phenomenon. Still, what the guys are saying, sometimes goes toward nonsense. I am saying this because at some point I get the sense that they skate to be cool. The sport somehow gives them that, because of it's lack of popularity. Still they say it would be very good to get more popularity, but it would lose it's coolness. So what they say is kind of like this "we want people to know we're cool, but still keep this sport off the mainstream". As a skater, I say... do it for yourself. Do it for the feeling it gives you. Do it for the pleasure, the passion, the relaxation, the adrenaline. It changed my life. It changed me, how I think, how I see things, how I enjoy each day that I am alive and living my life. Stop trying hard to be cool and to show people you are cool. Just be yourself, be your own ideas, be your own style.

Awesome film, great stuff. Really captured the sentiments of a lot of rollerbladers out there. I just wish this nonsense about keeping it underground would cool down. I see what they're saying as far as danger of losing that ability to just hook up with people everywhere using rollerblading as this sort of bond, but it could bea little bigger! It'll be hard to skate for fun while watching all the skater owned companies go out of business.
