Panasonic AG-AF100 test II
New video filmed on Panasonic AG-AF100 (last release), mixed with Canon 5D MK II BTS footage.
NO GRADING!
The new Panny is terrific:
no aliasing, no moiré, the rolling shutter is present but minimum, great resolution.
The release in my hands, is not the definitive one and there are some bugs in the menu (the variable frame rate doesn't work, for example) but I'm in love with this baby.
A very special thanks to:
Pietro Bianchi for the BTS footage
Valerio Barbati for the precious help
Gordon de Adamich from Centro Internaziole Guida Sicura (VARANO DE' MELEGARI - ITALY).
I used Nanoflash at 280Mbps
Lenses: Canon 70-200 2.8 and Nikon 14-24 2.8
Music: Jamiroquai / "Everyday" from "Travelling Without Moving" album.
THANKS FOR WATCHING AND STAY TUNED!

Nanoflash!
Kalani-
Great looking images btw : )
In my opinion, for a professional use, an external recorder is required!
In my opinion, the 5D footage is not over exposed except when the car goes away!
Thanks for sharing.
I have looked at both types of the encoded footage, the Nanoflash one is much more better (280Mbps), but the Panny one works very well!
Are you planning on showing any AVCHD footage?
I will show AVCHD footage as soon as possible.
It flows as the moment. Your heart beat and rhythm as the moment which create the peace/ joyous moment to watching and to feel the flow as you've capture the nothing else matters but the peace matters in life.
Which is most essential for us to rely your heart of life.
Wonderful and it is my joy to be here to part of the audience. :D
As much as you brought the( Well... every time :)))
With your emotion in life with the vibration(living thing :)))
I thank you for your sharing, sharing of the life as you are, among us.

It was a quick drop by to say hi to your heart of life.

thanks for your very kind, poetic words... as ever!
Cheers,
Filippo
I thank you and love your life!!!
Cheers!!!
Your life's journey as one, emily as your global family
or moire.
Look at 00:21 the metal grate under the stairs
what do you think that is?
LOL it's the 5D footage :P
am absolutely stunned about what comes in from this camera at the price it has. I believe this will change a lot in the business and the semi-pro world. And it will be a lot of fun with such a small and versatile tool.
Thanks!
One thing I noticed is on some clips of the AF100 the highlights look clamped about 86% brightness, was this in camera using a 'Cine Like / DRS' preset or adjusted in post?
Look forward to your next installment.
All the best James.
I used a Cine like preset and I have changed the pedestal of the camera a little bit.
Cheers,
Filippo
Grazie
HAi usato schede SDXC?
Cordialement
No Zeiss primes, j'ai utilisé Canon et Nikon.
Bien cordialement
Could you also put a comparison of the rolling shutter of AF100 against to 5D MKII please?
thanks!
I will post a comparison as soon as possible!
thanks,
You need an adaptor: Canon EF to Micro 4/3.
Yes, Jamiroquai is the right choice... I think! ^_^
Grazie Filippo, aspettando nuovi test..
Nuovi test a breve!
Bravo Filippo.
Really looking forward to know more about this camera...
AF100 looks fantastic and thanks for using MkII for BTS, it's great to compare the two.
Great idea to use the car mount!!!
The AF100 gets the checkered flag, si?
Perhaps you could put the lenses and use of Nanoflash in the description?
Looking forward to seeing the 24Mbps AVCHD off the SD cards.
Grazie molto!!!
thanks for watching and suggestions (see the description!)
I will post AVCHD files as soon as I can!
nice stuff man....well by saying this, i guess i just commented on it..AHAHHAAH
cheers
AHAHAHAHAH.. thanks as always!
Cheers
Great job by the way! I can't wait to get this camera!
:)
I used an Italian adapter (Adriano Lolli).
I will post AVCHD files as soon as I can!
I used a Canon 70-200 2.8 and Nikon 14-24 2.8.
graz
L'immagine è robusta, dettagliata, adatta a lavori decisamente raffinati.
Ciao, continua a deliziarci!
(Vorrei dire: "divertiti"...)
Ciao!
what lens?
nano?
Thanks for watching!
The Canon is an EF/EOS lens on the M4/3 adapter?
If so, how are you controlling iris?
Grazie!
Sorry for my bad English! ;-)
This is a VERY interesting camera
First you can buy the camera and when you will have an important work to do you'll can buy an external recorder like the Nano!
thanks for watching and sharing!
Sorry, but I haven't had enough time to compare the cameras.
I will test the AG-AF100 again on November in Japan so stay tuned!
No iris control with Canon EF lenses, I shooted wide open!
