The traffic and townspeople of Ashland, Virginia make way as ES44DC 5307, SD50 8620, GP40-2 6062, and GP40-2 6121 haul a 153-car freight out of the dip south of town and past the station on August 2, 2008. While it may seem like some of the traffic is crossing unsafely, the camera zoom has compressed the distance quite a bit, so it's not as bad as it looks.
The center of Ashland is a 'quiet zone' for trains - no horns, bells only. Listen near the beginning of the clip and you'll hear the horn blow for the last crossing before the quiet zone begins.
